Local Livestream Options:

Mercy Home in Chicago Mass airs live on Sunday at 9:30am on WGN. Or watch it on demand at: www.mercyhome.org/sunday-mass/

As we join together in community at Mass, let us take a moment to unite ourselves in prayer with all our brothers and sisters in Christ who are homebound, hospitalized, or otherwise unable to go to a church on any Sunday. Also, let us unite in prayer for those suffering from oppression and war.

Finally, let us join Saint Clare. She is the patron saint of TV because she was able to view the Holy Mass on the wall of her cell before TVs were ever invented. Thank God we have ways to view Mass this Sunday if we are unable to attend Mass for any reason! Saint Clare, please pray for us that we may more fully appreciate every Mass and unite ourselves more closely to God.

MARCH 2 AND 3, 2024

In previous years our community of St. Scholastica wrote letters that were submitted to your U. S. Representative and Senators.  Because of your efforts each senator and representative that you wrote voted for the successful passage of important legislation that provided food and resources to the least among us in the United States and abroad. This year, as a member of the community of St. Scholastica, you have an opportunity to once again participate in the “Bread for the World” letter writing campaign to end hunger in the United States and abroad. It is our Catholic tradition to advocate for the poor. Writing letters to our U.S. Senators and Representatives does make a difference. What would happen if our voices of faith were not raised? More will be explained on the weekend of March 2-3.

If you would like to help hand out letters to be signed on the weekend of March 2-3 after the mass that you attend, please contact Deacon Tom and Desiree Marciani at 630-721-2232 or send an email to tpmarciani@gmail.com.
