Need Help?

The STORM Youth Group is having a fundraiser to raise money for our Youth Ministry Mission Trips this summer. Participants are available to do odd jobs for a donation to our trips. This could include raking leaves, landscaping work, mowing the lawn, painting or shoveling snow. It could be a one time work project or ongoing. If you can give us at least one week notice that would be appreciated, or if it is ongoing, try to set it up ahead of time. All donations are then made payable to the St. Scholastica STORM Youth Group.  Please contact Jennifer at youthministry@stscholasticaparish.org or 630-985-2351x138 to set up work projects.

Youth Ministry Youth & Young Adult Italy Pilgrimage 2019

We will be having an informational meeting about our Italy Pilgrimage 2019 on Tuesday, June 13 at 7 pm in the Youth Room.  This trip will be open to all current rising 8th Graders and older, including all high school and college students.  Information will be shared about the trip, fundraising and registration.

We would normally be going to World Youth Day (WYD), but they are holding it in January during a school time, so we have decided to do a pilgrimage to Italy instead.  This trip should be fun for the participants, but please be aware that it is a Pilgrimage, not a vacation.  A main focus of the trip is the spiritual aspect.  The pilgrimage will take place in June 2019.  Our parish will be running a trip for High School and College students.  Information and applications will be available at the informational meetings.

Mission Trip Blog

We have a blog for our 2017 Mission Trip that we will be updating with reflections and pictures throughout our trip: https://stormymblog.wordpress.com/  You can also see posts from World Youth Day and last years Mission Trip.  Please continue to keep us in your prayers!

T-shirt Orders

We have T-shirts with the S.T.O.R.M. name and logo, so when we go to Diocesan, National and International events, people will identify us as a group.  If you are interested in purchasing a T-shirt, they are $12.  Please call Jennifer Olson at 630-985-2351x138 to place your order.
