Need Help?

STORM Youth Ministry is continuing a fundraiser to raise money for our Youth Ministry Mission Trips this summer.  Participants are available to do odd jobs for a donation to our trips.  This could include raking leaves, landscaping work, mowing the lawn, painting or shoveling snow.  It could be a one time work project or ongoing.  If you can give us at least one week notice that would be appreciated, or if it is ongoing, try to set it up ahead of time.  All donations are then made payable to the St. Scholastica STORM Youth Ministry.  Please contact Jennifer at youthministry@stscholasticaparish.org or 630-885-6439 to set up work projects.

S.T.O.R.M. Mission Trip

STORM will be participating in a Mission Trip to the Omaha-Winnebago Native American Reservation in Nebraska June 27 - July 2, 2021 with Young Neighbors In Action. This is an amazing trip, that gives teens the opportunity to serve those in need for a week in the summer and spend time together for fun activities and prayer.  They learn about why we do service. We stay on the Native American Reservation and are immersed in the culture.  Most kids go in thinking they will be giving so much, but they end up getting more than they give!  It's open to 8th Graders & High School Teens (and 2020 Grads who missed their senior trip)!

The Winter Retreat Permission Slips can be turned in. S.T.O.R.M. Youth Ministry is hosting a Retreat at St. Scholastica from Friday, February 26th at 5:00 p.m. until Sunday, February 28, 2021 at 6 p.m. We will not sleep at the parish overnight. Retreats are just a real fun way to get away from school, home, and all the other stresses in your life. The theme of this retreat is “Spoken: Hearing God's Voice” and our teen and adult leaders will be sharing about how they listen to God in their own lives and especially during this Pandemic. There will be great discussions and, of course, great fun. There will be time for prayer and lots of time for fun! We will have a bonfire, skits and games! Permission slips and information sheets are available outside the Parish Office and they are BRIGHT PINK.
