Need Help?

STORM Youth Ministry is continuing a fundraiser to raise money for our Youth Ministry Mission Trips this summer.  Participants are available to do odd jobs for a donation to our trips.  This could include raking leaves, landscaping work, mowing the lawn, painting or shoveling snow.  It could be a one time work project or ongoing.  If you can give us at least one week notice that would be appreciated, or if it is ongoing, try to set it up ahead of time.  All donations are then made payable to the St. Scholastica STORM Youth Ministry.  Please contact Jennifer at youthministry@stscholasticaparish.org or 630-885-6439 to set up work projects.

Mission Trip Applications can STILL be turned in.  If you need an application, I've attached one or you can find it on the Parish website, or they are available in the Parish Office and the Welcome Center of church and are purple.  They can be turned in to a STORM Meeting or to the Parish Office.

Each summer we go on a week long Mission Trip with the High School Teens and it is an amazing, life changing experience.  We want to encourage all high school teens to sign up for the Mission Trip this summer!  This year the trip will take place June 21-26 to Detroit, Michigan with Young Neighbors In Action!  There is service each day, great morning and evening programs including culture night, recreation night, prayer and Adoration.  Most kids think they are going to give back to others, but find that they receive so much more than they give.  Our group usually has over 20 people attending.  I hope your teen will join us!

Steubenville Youth Conference

GO MAD, our short term local Mission Trip Experience for Middle School students, is coming on July 6-7 to St. Scholastica.  During GO MAD we will do some projects around the church and we will go out into the community for others, including Feed My Starving Children and a nursing home.  We will eat and sleep in the Parish Center.  We will also have fun morning and evening programs provided for you by the High School Mission Team.  Permission Forms are due April 18 and they are a tri-fold brochure and can be turned in to the Parish Office or your RE or St. Scholastica School Class.

We are still looking for adults and young adults to help with the planning and organization of this event.  Please contact Jennifer for more information or if you can help!
